Symtech Innovations Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Electrical contract by PCL Constructors for Yonge Eglinton Centre revitalization and redevelopment project.
Yonge Eglinton Centre, sitting in the heart of Midtown Toronto, a popular mixed-use office complex and destination for shopping and dining. Currently the 750,000 square foot space comprises two office towers above a 3- storey shopping mall, anchored by a grocery store and a multi-screen cinema. This proposed $100 million dollar development will add approximately 40,000 square feet retail space over three levels at the corner of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. The office towers currently stand at 22 and 30- storeys, five and seven stories will be added above the existing mechanical levels on top to make a final height of 27 and 37-storeys.
Symtech’s role in the revitalization of the existing mall consists of installing new LED lighting throughout the common areas, installing the infrastructure for the complex media signage deployment, upgrading the existing fire alarm and P.A. systems. Symtech will also be responsible for the supply and installation of all electrical systems, fire alarm and state of the art LED lighting for the new retail expansion space. The expansion will also incorporate LED lighting in the exterior glass walls that will illuminate the expansion during the evening hours. This type of LED lighting will set precedence for other retail buildings for years to come.
