Symtech (bonded by Western Surety Company) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Electrical contract for Ripley’s Aquarium in Canada.
This exciting world class family attraction will house over 45 interactive exhibits of marine and freshwater habitats from around the world, which will foster learning and exploration. Sustainable design and practices will be a top priority in the entire development of Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.
The aquarium will be 135,000 sq. ft., with over 1.5 million gallons of water within the entire facility. This project is valued at over $130 million and will be built at the base of the CN Tower in downtown Toronto.
Symtech’s role in this facility will be the installation of the complete electrical, audio/visual, and data systems. Our state-of-the-art energy efficient LED lighting system and complex lighting control system will allure patrons of all ages. Life support systems for all the inhabitants will have a reinforced backup system with a 750kW emergency generator for assured safety. Any electrical systems that are in close proximity of any moisture will be made of non-corrosive stainless steel and plastics. There will be 300,000 ft. of conduit and 800,000 ft. of wire to keep this amazing structure powered and running smoothly.
