General Contractor: EllisDon Construction
The TD Coliseum was created as a $300 million transformation to revitalize Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre into a state-of-the-art, 18,000-seat venue designed to compete on a global stage. This reimagined facility includes a modernized facade, premium seating, engaged acoustics, improved sightlines, upgraded concourses, optimized clubs and suites, and artist lounges.
This facility was transformed by Symtech and its partners Oak View Group, EllisDon, and Smith + Andersen. This arena has expanded the southwestern Canadian entertainment market, establishing Hamilton as a premier music, sports, and entertainment destination.
Our scope of work included the supply and installation of all electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, and lighting controls. Symtech was also responsible for all communication systems, including copper cabling, fibre infrastructure, and wireless access points.
