Phase 1D is the fourth and final phase of CAMH’s historic development, spanning over two decades. This project aims to replace outdated structures with a new facility to better support patients with mental illness in their recovery. This includes new additions, such as increased bedded capacity, dedicated family visitation areas in the inpatient units, clinics for patients receiving care in the community, recovery-based therapeutic spaces, enclosed outdoor areas for treatment, and security & building support services.
