With more than 100,000 sq. ft. of additional space, this transformative cultural hub will further establish Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus as a destination for arts, culture, and creative education. Phase 2 includes a three-storey facility featuring a 500-seat theatre, film studios, and academic spaces, all developed to support creative arts and multimedia programs. Designed with sustainability in mind, the project has achieved Zero Carbon Building Design certification, whilst continuing to target a LEED Platinum designation.
Set for completion in 2027, Phase 2 will be constructed in collaboration with our outstanding partners: Owner – Humber College, General Contractor – EllisDon Construction, Electrical & Mechanical Engineer – Smith + Andersen, and Architects – Diamond Schmitt Architects.
Symtech’s scope of work includes the supply and installation of all electrical systems, including electrical service, power distribution, emergency power, generator systems, branch wiring, lighting, lighting controls, lightning protection systems, fire alarms, etc. In addition, Symtech will be responsible for all communications systems, including telephone/data cabling, A/V infrastructure, etc, as well as a comprehensive security system.
