The William Thomas Student Residence is a stunning 20-storey residential building that can house over 375 tenants. This $40-million project based in Hamilton, ON was developed as housing for students from McMaster University and Mohawk College, as well as other visiting academics. The student residence includes one level of underground parking, retail space, bicycle storage, a student lounge, a gymnasium, and a computer room.
Symtech was responsible for all Electrical work, which includes the implementation of power distribution risers and panel boards, communications services with high speed fiber optics, emergency back-up generator, provisions for comprehensive security coverage, energy-efficient LED lighting and controls, full fire alarm systems, and provisions for WiFi coverage.
