Symtech Innovations Ltd. is proud to announce that we have been chosen as the electrical contractor for Toronto’s first purpose-built life sciences project - Catalyst at 77 Wade Avenue.
Developed by Seeker Labs, in collaboration with Pomerleau and DIALOG, we will support the construction of a 155,000 sq. ft. 7-storey market-leading life sciences office building in Toronto’s vibrant Junction neighborhood. This landmark project aims to deliver best-in-class lab and research space, providing the spark for Canadian science innovation and commercialization to thrive and make a lasting impact.
The building's design, organized around dual service cores for efficient laboratory support utilities, is a testament to its commitment to fostering scientific excellence.
A distinctive feature is the emphasis on natural light and exterior views, creating a vibrant and inspiring 21st-century workplace. Catalyst will not only serve as a hub for scientific breakthroughs, but will also showcase Canadian science to the broader community, establishing a sense of connection with the wider precinct.
Symtech's responsibilities in this groundbreaking project include the implementation of all electrical systems, encompassing power distribution, emergency power, high-efficient lighting, lighting controls, security systems, and fire alarms, as well as all communication systems, including copper cabling, fibre infrastructure, and wireless access points.
