Symtech was responsible for the following upgrades and expansions to the Cologix Vancouver facility:
- 50% increase in electrical room cooling capacity
- 4,200 sq. ft. interior build-out
- Two 3000A power distribution units
- Twelve 400A remote power panels
- Over one hundred data center cabinets
- Four computer room air conditioners
- A raised floor system
- Seismically engineered ‘gordon grid’ ceiling
- 25,000kVA substation hydro source
- 1000kW generator
- 4000A distribution board
- Two 2000A distribution boards
- Seven transfer switches
- Two 750kVA UPS & 750kVA transformers
- Signature ‘black fibre guide’ diverse pathways, royal blue banding, and signature checker plate wall protection.
Symtech was responsible for the following upgrades and expansions to the Cologix Montreal facility:
- All sub trades on two large infrastructure upgrade projects for a live data center environment running concurrently in an A class building
- Removal of two 700kW Generators
- Installation of two 1.5mW generators
- Rework of the base building HVAC system
Symtech was responsible for the following upgrades and expansions to the Cologix Toronto facility in 2012:
- 20,000 sq. ft. facility expansion (905 King Street West, Toronto)
- Coordinated all sub-trade activities, ensuring compatibility with the master construction schedule of the facility
- Installed the complex electrical system, which required synchronization with several roof top generators
- Extended electrical services from the main electrical room and roof via 3,200 Amp parallel bus duct systems and six 500kW APC UPS systems
- Completed the installation of an energy efficient LED lighting system and complex control system, equipped with the newest technologies in fire detection and security
