In 2017, Symtech was selected by a large outsourcing company in the USA to manage one of their customers in the greater New York City area. Our company was responsible for the ongoing day-to-day data centre complimentary services for a 12-month contract.
These services are critical to the success of this company and include 7/24/365 coverage within their data centers, encompassing all physical activities performed at the sites. These activities include hands & eyes, escorting, cabling, media administration services, inventory management services, enhanced smart hands, and shipping and receiving. We provided overall management of these services ensuring full integration into their operational environment, supported by strong service level agreements to guarantee timely response and turnaround times.
Additional services included operational support for physical infrastructure planning and IT audits on an as needed basis.
This groundbreaking contract positioned Symtech to further extend our service offerings into data centre facilities management in the United States. Coupling this with our core competencies in electrical, server, and cable installation services, this contributed to our strategic vision of being an end-to-end IT service provider for data centres.
