This 700,000 sq. ft. facility houses the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and the Centre of Forensic Sciences. The construction of this facility allows the three agencies, who work closely together during investigations, to collaborate and share resources. The increased capacity allows for over 2,500 autopsies and 15,000 forensic cases per year.
In collaboration with our partner Carillion Canada, this facility was constructed to align with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standards.
Symtech was responsible for supplying and installing temporary power and lighting, electrical distribution, and cabling for a new command center.
