KPMG Vaughan Office Tower

General Contractor: PCL Constructors Canada Inc.

This 15-storey, 365,000 sq. ft. office tower development was the first building of the Vaughan Corporate Centre, developed by SmartCentres and Calloway REIT. The 53-acre site is a multi-use accommodation for six million sq. ft. of office, retail, commercial, and residential space built around a central park system, with pedestrian connections to the subway system and regional bus terminal.

The KPMG Office Tower was constructed in collaboration with PCL Constructors Canada Inc. and world-leading architects Diamond & Schmitt. The building was specifically designed with sustainability in mind, in order to meet LEED Gold standards.

Symtech was responsible for advanced multi-tiered communications systems, a low voltage lighting control system, and a centralized automation platform to integrate building systems. The low voltage lighting control system provided by Symtech controls artificial light levels based on available daylight and occupancy, effectively saving energy, and lowering building maintenance costs.
