This unique 50,000 sq. ft. data center located in Markham, Ontario expands the national data hosting network. The new facility provides customers with co-location, managed hosting, and next generation services with interconnections to core voice and broadband IP networks. The new state-of-the-art green data center is uses green power and chilled water to run critical data systems, and a heat recapture system that will increase efficiency and heat the community. This facility houses thousands of data servers for the company’s Business Market division.
This Tier3 N+1 configuration data center project was completed in collaboration with PCL Constructors Canada Inc., our long-standing business partner.
Symtech was responsible for the installation of electrical, communications, and BAS systems across 10,000 sq. ft. of useable raised floor and the 20,000 sq. ft. expansion. Our team installed three 1 Mega Watt APC UPS, two 2,000 Amp switchboards, four 600 kW PDUs and ATS, sixty-four rows of 225 Amp busway for raised floor power distribution, VESDA life safety systems, mechanical controls, and many other components.
