The Well is a 3 million sq. ft. mixed-use development which created a new community in the heart of Toronto. This unique project revitalized an impressive urban site on a scale unlike any other Toronto development. The Well includes 1.1 million sq. ft. of office, 500,000 sq. ft. of retail and food services, and 1,700 residential units spread throughout six tower buildings which are connected to a 3-level retail base.
In addition to a 22,000 sq. ft. event venue, The Well is also home to a dining destination called the Wellington Market, offering artisan fare, casual dining, local produce and even entertainment like concerts and comedy shows. The retail centre was built out of beams, brick, and steel, with a “landmark glass canopy” for shelter and natural light.
Symtech was responsible for all electrical systems such as power distribution, emergency power, high efficient lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, security system, snow-melting systems, and network systems.
