Symtech Innovations Ltd. (bonded by Western Surety Company) is pleased to announce they have been awarded the Electrical contract for Ripley’s Aquarium in Canada. This exciting world class family attraction will be 135,000 square feet, and will have more than 1.5 million gallons of water depicting marine and freshwater habitats from around the world. Total construction value will be over $130 million and to be built at the base of the CN tower downtown Toronto.
The Aquarium will house over 45 interactive exhibits, and will be a place of learning, exploration, demonstration, and a model of community-minded behaviour. Sustainable design and practices are a top priority in the entire development of Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.
Symtech's role in this facility will be the installation of the complete Electrical, Audio Visual and Data systems to support these unique tenants. The State of Art Energy Efficient LED lighting system together with a complex lighting control system will allure patrons of all ages. The life support systems for all the inhabitants have a backup system that will also be reinforced with a 750 KW emergency generator for assured safety. The construction of the 6000 amp electrical system that is in close proximity of any moisture will be made of non corrosive stainless steel and plastics.
There will be 300,000 ft of conduit and 800,000 ft of wire to keep this amazing structure powered and running smoothly.
