T3 Bayside

Location:  261 Queens Quay E, Toronto, ON  (MAP)

Year: 2023

Project Type: Office Building and Commercial / Retail

Description:

We are pleased to announce our part in developing the tallest wood-frame office building in North America upon its completion, T3 Bayside. The building will be fully packed with amenities and will offer offices, flexible shared office spaces, event, and retail options, as well as exhibition and gallery spaces.

T3 Bayside will act as a liaison to the neighborhood by connecting it to the revitalized waterfront, joining together the city of Toronto with Lake Ontario. Designed by 3XN, a Copenhagen-based architectural firm, the development aims to provide an innovative and creative approach to construction and sustainability.

T3 Bayside’s design intends to realize the top benchmark standards to help companies, their workforce, and their business infrastructure reach their peak potential. This development is targeting LEED Gold Standard, Wired Platinum, and Well-Ready Certification. The timber used in T3 is one of the most ecological and renewable building materials, especially when paired with responsible forest regrowth. T3 will be able to store 3,886 metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent of 2,708 cars off the roads, and as a result, avoids 6,655 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Located in the thriving East Bayfront District, Toronto’s up-and-coming dynamic neighborhoods, T3 Bayside will become part of a master-planned community consisting of over 2,000,000 square feet of luxury residences, shopping and restaurant destinations, cultural venues, and walking promenades along the waterfront. A planned twin building will bring another 251,000 square ft of opportunity for companies to craft an authentic campus experience with shared amenities and workspaces connected via a retail plaza between buildings.

Symtech will be responsible for completing the Base Building Fit Out, which includes Power and Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, and Communication and Data Networks. Symtech’s Design Team is working alongside other trades to coordinate the model ensuring the actual build will flow smoothly in cooperation with the other trades. The reason being, is that T3 is an all-exposed building, therefore, every attention to detail must be taken with the install.
