Symtech is excited to announce that we have been chosen as the Design Assist Electrical Contractor for The Forty Eight, urban rentals located at 48 Ferguson Avenue South in Hamilton’s historic Corktown neighborhood.
This 29-storey residential tower will deliver 417 rental homes, helping to meet the growing demand for high-quality housing in downtown Hamilton. Located within walking distance of the Hamilton GO Centre and two future Light Rail Transit (LRT) stops, it offers exceptional connectivity while supporting the city’s ongoing revitalization. Designed with modern amenities and thoughtfully planned living spaces, the project will provide a vibrant, community-focused environment for a broad range of households.

Symtech’s scope of work includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of all electrical systems, such as power distribution, emergency power, energy-efficient LED lighting & controls, occupancy sensors, fire alarms, and infrastructure to support future EV charging and smart building technologies. We will also be responsible for the building’s integrated security and life-safety system, including access control, CCTV surveillance, and intercom systems.
