Symtech is thrilled to announce that we have been chosen as the Electrical & Mechanical Contractor for the redevelopment of the former Nordstrom space at Toronto Eaton Centre.
This transformative project will introduce three iconic brands to North America's busiest shopping destination, with grand openings scheduled for 2025:
- Simons: A new 110,000 sq. ft. flagship storefront, marking the first downtown Toronto locationof this beloved Canadian fashion retailer.
- Eataly: The fourth Canadian outpost of the world-renowned Italian marketplace, makingToronto the only city in North America with four Eataly locations.
- Nike: A new two-level flagship store, relocating from level 1 of the centre to a prime 18,000 sq.ft. space at Trinity Way.
Our team is responsible for key elements of the project, including the overall redevelopment (Design Assist), the new Simons flagship (Tender), and the new Eataly location (Design Assist). We are proud to collaborate with an outstanding group of partners to bring this vision to life:

Symtech’s scope of work includes all electrical systems, such as power distribution, emergency power, lighting, lighting controls, security, etc., as well as all communication systems, such as copper cabling, fibre infrastructure, etc. Additionally, we are handling all mechanical work, including plumbing, HVAC, etc.
