Symtech Innovations Ltd. is excited to announce that we have been awarded the Design Assist Electrical Contract for Valhalla Village Phase 1, an affordable housing development located at Bloor Street West and The East Mall in Toronto.
In January 2024, the City of Toronto celebrated the groundbreaking of this transformative housing initiative. The project represents a collaborative effort between the City, the Government of Canada, and private sector partners led by KingSett Affordable Housing Fund LP, demonstrating a shared commitment to delivering affordable housing within inclusive and mixed-income communities.
Valhalla Village Phase 1 will feature an 11-storey mid-rise building and a 30-storey tower, contributing over 494 residential units to the area. Notably, 40% of these units are designated as affordable housing, addressing a critical need in the Bloor and East Mall neighborhood. In line with the City’s sustainability goals, the project is targeting CaGBC Zero Carbon Building Design (ZCB-D) Standard. In addition, the site is zoned to allow for a second phase to be constructed at a later date.
