The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Phase 1C

Symtech Innovations Ltd. is pleased to announce that we, as a team member with PCL and the Plenary Health Group, have won the new CAMH P3 project on Queen Street West.

The Phase 1C project is comprised of two (2) new Mental Health Hospital buildings.Ā  One being an eight (8) story Complex Care and Recovery building, and one a seven (7) story Crisis and Critical Care building, combined will total 670,000 square feet. Besides the facilities provided for outpatients, the two (2) buildings will have 235 beds for those requiring inpatient care.

Symtech has been contracted to provide all Electrical, ICT and Technology Systems including all Network equipment.

We will be providing two (2) 27.6KV - 2666KVA Double-ended Redundant Electrical Services, 600V Distribution, Emergency Generator power housed in a Central Utility Plant and UPS power throughout both buildings.

Lighting throughout both buildings and the entire site will be individually addressable LED fixtures, each being controllable by means of a centralized lighting control system.

We will be installing state of art systems coupled with multiple technologies of wired, wireless and other systems to support the RTLS (Real Time Locating System) for operational & life safety. These systems along with Security and CCTV systems, Nurse call system, facilities management and clinical systems, residing on and offsite, will all be interfaced and communicating with each other on a continuous basis via integration engine ESB (Enterprise Service Bus). The new Fire Alarm systems we install will be integrated with the entire CAMH site on a high-speed network.

As well as the construction of the new buildings, the project sitewill be improved with the extension of Stokes Street throughthrough to Shaw, an onsite parking lot and the revitalizationof the public space Shaw Park.
