Symtech Innovations Ltd. is proud to announce that we have begun work on the William Thomas Student Residence located in Hamilton, ON. The $40-million project includes a 20-storey development that will house an estimated 375 tenants.
The building will be used for students from McMaster University, Mohawk College as well as visiting academics. The student residence also includes one level of underground parking, retail space and ample bicycle storage, a student lounge, gymnasium and computer room.
Symtech is responsible for all Electrical work including: new electrical service from Horizon Utilities, power distribution risers and panel boards, new communications services with high speed fiber optics.
Emergency back-up generator, provisions for comprehensive security coverage in all common areas, parking, elevators and building perimeter. Energy efficient LED lighting. Energy efficient lighting controls based on occupancy. Full fire alarm system and provisions for full WiFi coverage throughout the building.
The student housing project is slated to open for the 2018 school year. We look forward to working on this important building that will add to the revitalization of Hamilton’s downtown core.
