Toronto Eaton Centre Skylight

Symtech Innovations Ltd. is proud to announce that we have been chosen as the Design Assist Electrical contractor for the Toronto Eaton Centre Galleria Skylight. In collaboration with Cadillac Fairview, the project will be carried out in two phases, spanning approximately 900 feet from Queen Street to the south of the Nordstrom store at the north end of the mall.

The galleria’s original design was inspired by the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Italy and has served as a distinguishing feature of the mall since the centre’s opening in 1977. The shopping centre’s existing glass roof will be replaced with the latest materials and technologies to improve energy efficiency while maintaining its classic design aesthetic.

Symtech is proud to be part of the reconstruction of the iconic 6,100 sqm galleria skylight. The enhancements will facilitate convenient connections while creating a more welcoming environment throughout the property. The new skylight will provide more transparency and daylight to the shopping mall as well as ensure the skylight roof is fit-for-purpose and sustainable in the long term, all while retaining its original architectural splendor.

Symtech is responsible for replacing the fire alarms on the skylight along with installing all new lighting with the latest materials and technologies to improve energy efficiency while maintaining its classic design aesthetic.
