Description:
Building will be comprised of 365,000 square feet of development, with a 15-storey office tower connected to a two-storey retail podium. It will be part of the first phase of a master-planned site being developed by SmartCentres and Calloway REIT. The 53-acre site is being planned for multi-use to accommodate six million square feet of office, retail, commercial and residential space built around a central park system, with pedestrian connections to the new subway station and regional bus terminal. Design highlights include raised access floor and acoustical ceiling tile throughout the building creating an excellent combination of flexibility and efficiency. Symtech will provide the connectivity for an advanced multi-tiered communications architecture that will allow for the use of a centralized automation platform to integrate building systems. The low voltage lighting control system provided by Symtech will control artificial light levels based on available daylight and occupancy and is among the many energy saving technologies utilized in this modern structure.
